	Overview
	This module is designed to enable students to, Choose a thesis topic of interest to them in the area of accounting and finance. � Conduct literature reviews relevant to topics in accounting and finance. � Understand the role of methodology and the linkages between theories, models, hypothesis generation and the various types of empirical work. � Evaluate and select research methods appropriate to the investigation of research questions in Accounting and Finance. � Independently collect, analyse and write up the results of research. � Orally present the findings of their research.

This module is designed to enable students to,

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Students will be required to write a thesis entailing original research on a topic in Accounting or a related field. It should be of a length and style similar to articles published in professional journals. As a rough guideline it will extend to about 9,000 words excluding tabulated data and diagrams.
