Courses / Module

This stream will be about applying accounting to understand the world around us. We will not assume students have previously taken accounting as a subject. The focus will be applying accounting to understand a wide range of business and global issues. The modules will be delivered through a series of lectures and tutorials which will incorporate discussion groups and group work.

Understanding the nature and role of accounting information.
Classifying users of financial information and how each might use this information.
Preparing trading, profit and loss accounts and balance sheets.
Demonstrating knowledge and understanding of financial statements by being able to analyze and interpret a set of accounts.
